This Month I’ve decided to focus on some self-care. With busy holidays right around the corner, let’s take some time this month to rest and recharge so we can better serve others. Because, if you’re like me, you tend to run around taking care of things without taking any time for yourself.
The series will include ideas for taking time for yourself and tools to take better care of yourself. Throughout the month, I’ll have posts corresponding to ideas for resting and rejuvenating.
Let’s make a little time every day to take care of ourselves and a little more time weekly.
Here’s a list of ideas to get you started:
- Take a Walk
- Read your favorite book/magazine/blog
- Fix your favorite coffee or tea
- Pamper yourself {Paint your nails, facial, etc.}
- Make a plan for the week
- Workout plan
- Plan a healthy meal for each day
- Wear your favorite outfit that makes you feel wonderful
- Take a bubble bath
- Write in your journal – or start one
- Watch your favorite movie
- Do an art/craft project that you enjoy
- Take a nap
- Go to bed early
- Sleep in
- Light your favorite candle
- Have a good laugh
- Bake your favorite dessert
- Spend time in God’s word
- Learn something new
- Watch a sunrise or sunset
As you can see, the list is a mix of healthy habits, rest, and a little pampering. The main goal is to slow down a little so we have time to re-charge.
How are you going to rest and re-charge this month? Let me know in the comments!
