One of my goals for 2014 is to read at least 2 books per month.. one for personal/spiritual growth and one on blogging/business. I worked my way through 2 books last month. Here’s what I read in May.

What I Read in May

1. Following God with All Your Heart by Elizabeth George

I’ve been a fan of Elizabeth George since I read “A Young Woman’s Call to Prayer” several years ago as a preteen. I’ve since graduated to the “grown up” versions of her books. (Though I wholeheartedly recommend her Young Women’s series for any young lady in your life)

Following God with All Your Heart is a great read and very inspiring to really learn how to follow God with your life. Character traits discussed include courage, humility, and contentment to name a few.

2. The Suitcase Entrepreneur by Natalie Sisson

This book was very interesting! I love hearing stories of entrepreneurs, especially those who have been able to make a living online.

Though not all of the advice applied to me since I don’t really plan to globetrot (except for a few weeks on a vacation someday) but other than maybe 2 chapters, the rest of the book applies to pretty much anyone looking to build a business online. I especially appreciate the actionable items at the end of each chapter. Those really make you think of exactly how you can apply the advice to your own life and business.
