If you know me, you know I love my coffee. Usually I like a hot coffee, even in the summer. But this year I’ve been enjoying a homemade iced mocha recipe that I put together. It’s been the perfect summer afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients:
- 2 tsp instant espresso
- 2 tsp sweetener (I use Stevia)
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 4 oz hot water
- 10-16 oz milk to preferred taste (I usually use skim or 1%)
- Ice
You can also easily half this recipe if you want a smaller cup of coffee. With 3 rowdy boys at home, I usually need the full recipe!
Directions:
- Combine instant espresso, sweetener, and cocoa powder in a large 20 oz coffee cup.
- Add 4 oz of hot water. I do this with my Keurig but you can easily just warm up the amount and add it. Even though it’s an iced drink, I think the hot water dissolves the ingredients together better.
- Add a couple ice cubes and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Add milk and more ice, then enjoy!
This has been a delicious treat on the hot summer afternoons this year. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
