I think we have all felt stressed, worried, and anxious at one point or another. Too much of these emotions can take a burden on your health and relationships. When I start to feel this way, I try to turn to God’s Word for encouragement. Here are some of my favorite verses to remember when I’m feeling stressed out:
1 Peter 5:7 ~ “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
John 14:27 ~ “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Philippians 4:6-7 ~ “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 ~ “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.”
Matthew 11:28-30 ~ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ~ “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Isaiah 41:10 ~ “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Proverbs 16:3 ~ “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Matthew 6:33-34 ~ “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
John 16:33 ~ “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 46:1 ~ “God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble.”

Great list! I love lists like these that focus on a situation or mood. I have book like this that focuses in on different situations and lists different verses. I reference it often! One of my favorite verses is, “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.” Such a reassurance that He never leaves us!
A great list, and definitely a very needed one today! Isaiah 41:10 is one of those verses I keep reminding myself of and reciting to myself when life gets hard or I get stressed, it holds so much comfort and hope. 2 Cor. 12:9 is also a favorite of mine!

This is a great list to reference during hard times. It is always important to remember that God will take all of our worries and fears. Matt. 11: 28 “Come to me all who are heavy leaden and I will give you rest” My absolute favorite of all time. Sometimes I repeat it to myself when my day is stressful. It really soothes my soul.
Psalm 27 offers many words of encouragement, not least to hold firm to the Lord and hope in him because he is our light and stronghold. I love the end: “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
