I’ve been looking for simple, affordable ways to update our bathroom. With our home being 57 years old, it needs some updates. I decided to try painting the tile grout and it turned out great!
It took my tile from looking like this (yuck!):
To this (yay!):
All it took was a $12 little bottle of Grout Refresh from Lowe’s.
You apply it to the tile with an old toothbrush, let it sit, and then wipe off the excess paint (I used a damp sponge.)
Granted, it is kind of a pain to get off the extra paint, and it does take a little bit of time. But the end result is definitely worth it to take my tile from dingy to clean!
Have you found it holds up to scrubbing afterward? I used the grout paint pen once and it looked awesome until I tried cleaning it.
So far it has held up well! Thanks for stopping by!
Check out this post I did a few months ago….great minds think alike! The product I used first got some of the grout so clean I didn’t have to put the”paint” on. And that worked on the gray grout in another room to. http://sweetwaterstyle.blogspot.com/2013/01/amazing-grout-redo.html
