This recipe is my favorite apple bread. I found the original recipe on Taste of Home and tweaked to suit our tastes.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 3/4 cup apple sauce
- 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 & 1/2 tsp cinnamon (I like cinnamon, so I add a little extra too!)
- 2 cups chopped apples
- brown sugar
Directions:
Whisk the egg, apple juice, applesauce, and oil until smooth.
Stir in the dry ingredients (except apples) just until blended.
Fold in the apples.
Pour into two greased bread pans.
Sprinkle brown sugar on top and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Take bread out and add some more brown sugar to the top. Bake for another 5-10 minutes or until toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
Let cool and enjoy!

I’m keeping this recipe for later this fall. My parents have an apple tree and I always end up with tons and trying to find ways to use them. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for visiting, hope you like it! I’ve always wanted an apple tree – but I’d probably end up with far too many breads and pies! 🙂
This bread sounds SO good! I definitely want to try out this recipe. I would love for you to share this on my blog link party, Sweet Tooth Tuesdays.
