There was not one live flower at my wedding. Except maybe any outside the church or reception hall. For our big day, we decided to go all silk flowers. Not only did it cut some costs, the bride was not sneezy from pollen allergies!

I don’t regret this decision for a second. I love that I get to keep my flowers and they are still in perfect condition!

The boutonnieres I made myself. Hobby Lobby had a nice selection of single, small flowers. I went with white for the main flower and purple small ones surrounding it. I just twisted the wire “stems” together, covered them with floral tape, and tied a ribbon on it! Simple and nice.

Both of my bouquets were bought at Michael’s with “50% off one regular priced item” coupons. My bouquet that I carried I hot glued some pretty, beaded wedding ribbon around the entire stem (I believe I bought the ribbon at Hobby Lobby when it was 50% off.) For my tossing bouquet, I tied a purple ribbon around the stem.

As for the corsages, I made those too. I used the same type of materials as the boutonnieres.

On the alter, we had a few vases of purple and white tulips. I wrapped some tulle around the stems and we put some colored marbles in the vase along with the flowers.

The daisies on the pews were from…The Dollar Tree. I cut them into single flowers and stuck them in with the tulle & ribbon.

One of my favorite items were the daisy bouquets from Michael’s that we used on the tables at the reception. It took quite a few coupons and trips to Michael’s,
but I think we got pretty much all of them discounted.

Since my mom had silk flowers at her wedding too, I was able to add a rosebud from her bouquet into mine. It made a very special addition to my wedding flowers!
