Note: This is NOT meant to be mean or harsh. Not all all. I know I need a loving kick-in-the-pants to get back in gear sometimes. So this is for you if you need one too.
It’s time to stop with the excuses.
Yes, all of them.
I’ve heard them all and it’s time to throw them out the window.
How have I heard them all? Probably because I’ve told them to myself. At least, I used to.
But living life with purpose doesn’t have any room for excuses or laziness.
What lies are you telling yourself that is keeping you from reaching your goals and living your dreams?
“The timing’s just not right.”
“I’ll start Monday.”
“I’ll do it when I have more money.”
“I’m just going to hold off until the kids are a little older.”
“Everything is just so busy right now, I’ll get going once things settle down.”
No, no, no.
Why are we doing this to ourselves? The one that those excuses are hurting is YOU.
You are doing a disservice to others by avoiding the purpose and dreams that God has planted in your heart.
So just take a small step right now. Inch closer and closer.
We seem to fool ourselves into thinking that following our goals and plans is going to take a huge time commitment or take over our lives.
It’s NOT.
How would your life be different in a month if you took just 15 minutes a day to work on it? That’s almost 8 hours dedicated solely to your goals.
I’m willing to bet that that month would make a HUGE difference in your life if you committed to just those few minutes each day.
Don’t get stuck in the status quo, friends.
You’re made for so much more than that.
So no more excuses – throw them all out and start RIGHT NOW.
This is such a needed message. I hope it isn’t taken as harsh. I think as a society we are so guilty of saying so many of these things to ourselves…and no good comes as a result. Thank you for sharing what was on your heart. I hope it inspires readers!
Yes, I completely agree. Thank you for your encouraging comment 🙂
I love this! I’m always saddened when people don’t follow their goals and dreams. Like you said; 15 minutes a day is 8 hours a month to work towards your goals!
So glad you liked it! It saddens me as well when people don’t follow their dreams. It’s amazing how just a little bit of time each day can add up! Thanks for stopping by!
This is good…. and this is me – a procrastinator – at least some of the time! Everyone could devote 15 minutes a day, though, and this helps break it down simple!
Yes breaking it down into simple baby steps makes a big task seem SO much more do-able! Thanks for visiting!
Thank you for the KITP! I so needed this!!!
