Nearly every bride wants to know easy ways to make her special beautiful, but affordable. So I thought I would share some of the ways I trimmed costs for our big day in April 2012.
Wedding Shoes
I knew I wanted some simple white flats for wedding shoes. No heels for me! My clumsy self has a hard enough time walking in a straight line without adding extra height!
Cost of my shoes? About $12 total. I found them at Payless!
Jewelry:
All of my jewelry (except my ring, of course) was borrowed from my grandma. I got to wear a beautiful diamond cross necklace, bracelet, and earrings. This was the perfect way to include my “something borrowed.” Plus, it had a lot of sentimental meaning. All of the jewelry was given to grandma by my grandpa, who had passed away 3 years before. It was a small way to make him part of my special day. I know he was there smiling down on us from heaven!
Transportation
Who needs a limo when you have a brother in law with an awesome, jacked up truck?? It was so much fun riding around the neighborhood for a bit before heading back to the church for pictures.
That’s all for this post, but I have plenty more ideas to come!
