I’ve used many apps promising rewards for doing everyday shopping, but they normally only reward for items I never buy. With Receipt Hog I can gets points just for snapping a picture of my receipts.

Receipt Hog is easy to use – all you do is photograph your receipts from your smartphone and upload to the app! You receive points based on the amount and after you reach a certain number you get a reward, such as an Amazon gift card.

Granted, it’s not the fastest way to earn rewards. But you can earn up to 100 points each week and a $5 gift card cost around 1,000 points. But I think it’s totally worth it for the minimal effort it requires.

On top of earning point by receipt pictures, you also can earn “spins” where you can win extra points.

Overall, I think the app is really easy to use and a great way to earn reward for only a minute or two of time each week!
