This sweet, creamy blend tastes great in coffee! I was doubtful that I could find a substitute for my favorite store bought liquid coffee creamer, but this one I really like! It will take some getting used to since I’m not used to that much dairy in my coffee, but once I gradually make the switch I look forward to having my morning cup of coffee without any weird additives!
You’ll need:
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Mix the cream, milk, and maple syrup in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat until heated through and it starts bubbling a bit around the edges.
Remove from heat, mix in vanilla, and let cool off at room temperature for awhile before refrigerating.
Yum!
How to you take your coffee? I need a good amount of cream and sugar added to mine! 🙂
Is the maple syrup for flavor or as a sweetner in this recipe? I would love to try a good vanilla creamer that is homemade!
Stopped by from Thrifty Thursday!
Yes, the maple syrup is what makes it nice and sweet! Thanks for visiting!
I’ll have to give this a try! We’re really trying to eat a real food diet, but I’m having a hard time giving up my Coffee Mate. 🙂
I found you through the Strut Your Stuff Saturday link party. 🙂
Let me know how you like it! Coffee Mate is really hard to give up! I haven’t completely switched yet.. but it’s nice to know I do have an alternative!
love this idea! We drink some much coffee creamer and it really adds up over time! This is a great way to DIY! Pinned! Found this on whatever goes wednesday!

Coffee creamer does really add up! We have gone through one of the bigger store-bought containers in a week. Thanks for visiting and pinning!
How long does this last in the refrigerator? Thanks!
Great question! It should last about a week in the fridge. 🙂
