Need an adorable, creative, affordable gift on short notice? Make your own painted vase!

A glass vase can can be found at the dollar store, or for less than $2 at Wal-Mart. Then all you’ll need is some acrylic paints (usually about 50 cents) and a paintbrush or q-tips!

I found the vase I liked at Wal-Mart and I had the rest of the supplies on hand. So I picked out some cute, coordinating colors, and painted polka-dots on the vase with q-tips. It didn’t turn out perfectly, but for my first time trying to paint a vase, it’s not too bad 😉

The vase is a great gift by itself, but you can also go a step further and get something to put in the vase. I picked out some reeds and scented oil to go in it to make a lovely scent diffuser.
