Decorative Fabric Boards!
~Pinterest Project Time~
I started with basic wooden boards I bought at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each.
They are covered in fabric quarters that I bought at Joann’s for $.99 each (on sale – reg. $1.99. Plus I have plenty left over!)
See how much fabric there is compared to the board? I’ll have to find a new project for the rest of the fabric! 🙂
Then I cut it down to size – I left about a 1.5 inch margin on each side.
Then I used hot glue to secure it around the board.
After that, I tucked the excess fabric in around the corners and secured them with, of course, hot glue.
Now, we need a little something to be able to hang these beauties up on the wall. Hence, my $1.99 hardware from Hobby Lobby.
So I used a pencil and a ruler to make sure I had a guideline for securing these. I’m straight line challenged and I don’t want them to be crooked!
So, I raided my husband’s tool box in search of a hammer; and, after much hard work hammering I was able to secure them. (Those itty bitty nails are tricky!
And… Taa-Daa! One down, three to go!
I was able to complete all four in about an hour. Here are all four of them:
And there we have it, they’re done! I was really happy with how they turned out. I plan on using the brown ones in an arrangement in our living room along with some cute shelves. The gray/purple is for the bedroom. Not sure how I’m going to arrange those yet, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something 🙂
