I recently went through Crystal Paine’s newest course, Say Goodbye to Survival Mode. It’s a follow-up to her bestselling book and the course has been a big game-changer for me.

Now that I’ve gone through it I’ve got a better mindset, it has allowed me to get rid of guilt, and I’m continuing to add more rest and simplicity back into my life. So today I thought I’d share a few of my biggest takeaways with you.

If you feel guilty for not doing enough, but overwhelmed at your schedule, you need this resource! It has helped me get rid of guilt and overwhelm for good.

Removing distractions

One of the first steps I’m taking is removing some distractions from my life. It’s just way too easy to get sucked into scrolling through social media and reading countless emails. So I unsubscribed from a bunch of mailing lists. It takes a lot less time to go through email now and opens up that time for other things. I’m also trying to limit how much I scroll through Facebook or Instagram.

Saying no without guilt

Even good things sometimes don’t fit into the season you’re in. For example, the Wednesday night small group at church was something I had to end up saying “No” to right now. It just doesn’t fit into our schedule right now and totally throws off our little guy’s bedtime routine. We’ll try again in the next semester, but right now I’m not going to feel guilty about doing what’s best for our family.

Taking more time to rest

I’ve noticed how antsy I can get when I have down time and honestly I think that’s a warning sign you’re not resting enough.

I get it, believe me, resting isn’t easy in our go-go-go society. Especially if you’re like me – a type A that likes productivity.

But no rest quickly leads to burnout… and exhaustion… and health issues… and so on.

So really, burning the candle at both ends isn’t really worth it when you count up the costs.

These are just three out of the many important lessons I learned from Crystal Paine’s Say Goodbye to Survival Mode Course. There are seven lessons altogether and all of them include a video.

Her story is one that I can relate to well. While the book covers the practical elements of saying goodbye to survival mode, the course digs a little deeper into the heart of the matter. It’s about making those mindset shifts that will actually allow you to put all of the practical advice into practice.

If you’re ready to let go of burnout, get rid of guilt, and start living the life you really want, I highly recommend taking the course for yourself!
