It’s not easy to keep track of everything needed to run a home. That’s why I use binders and a planner to keep track of what I need to do, groceries to buy, errands to run, and more!

I have 3 binders I use regularly: Recipes, Home Management, and Blogging. Plus a planner that I’m a bit obsessed with.

 My binders and planner

I LOVE my planner “On the Go A Well Planned Day Planner” from Home Educating Family Publishing. It is seriously the best tool for keeping my life organized. For each month there is a full calendar, “notes” pages, money management, and weekly pages. For each day of the week, you have plenty of space for your “To-Do” List, a time area where you can list specific appointments, and a dinner plan box. There is also room for your weekly grocery list, extra notes, errands to run, bills to pay, and more! Further, this is just the one I use – they have lots of amazing planners to fit your life!

Now onto my binders:

Blogging Binder: This is where I organize my blogging. I keep an editorial calendar, a list of post ideas, print outs, and notes.

Recipe Binder: I have a tab for entrees, breads, desserts, sides, and more. It’s a great way to keep track of your regularly-used recipes, especially if they are ones you printed.

Home Binder: This is probably the least-used out of my binders, but I still like it. I have it divided by room and it’s a great place to keep home renovation and decorating ideas.

What I’ve really learned about organizing our home is that there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” home management plan. You can definitely take ideas and pointers from others’ plans, but ultimately, you have to find what works for you and your family. Sure, this takes quite a bit of trial and error. But the end result of finding what really works for you, is worth it.
